The principle of synthetic pursuit was the creation of a building that harmoniously integrates into the natural and built environment of the campus, while meeting the specific requirements of the Medicine students and teachers. Medicine, a discipline that demands dedication, concentration, and privacy, shapes the design of a School with an introverted structure. Simultaneously, as part of the university community, it must function as a social catalyst, fostering social interaction among its users. Striking a balance between these two contrasting aspects forms the main feature of the proposal. The proposal consists of a series of synthetic options that are graphically analyzed as follows:<\/p>\n
01 | Along the entire width of the northwestern boundary of the plot, we have positioned a linear shelter that serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it serves as a prominent identifying element of the composition. Secondly, it creates a partially open-air staging area for the \u201cBelvedere\u201d pedestrian zone, serving as a transitional space from the public realm to the school.<\/p>\n
02 | To achieve optimal integration of the building with the environment and slope, we have created stepped semi-outdoor spaces and terraces with varying degrees of lighting and privacy, following the
\nnatural slope. The staggered arrangement of the building\u2019s mass was a central objective, allowing the School to blend naturally with the slope without altering the landscape.<\/p>\n
03 | The central patio constitutes the heart of the school. It is situated one level below the entrance and seamlessly connected through an amphitheater. Opting for a lower level enhances the patio\u2019s sense
\nof privacy, while the entry and patio can be considered as a unified module.<\/p>\n
04 | We have established a linear axis that unifies all outdoor and semi-open spaces, starting from the main pedestrian zone and extending to the building level. The design of this pathway organizes the composition and serves as the primary axis of movement that will connect the two sections of Medicine in the future. Thus, it is evident that this pathway is a key element of the central idea, organizing the composition as a whole and providing a public passage within the campus.<\/p>\n
05 | Taking into account the future expansion of the faculty at the southwestern edge of the plot, a fundamental compositional decision was to conceive the two plots as a single study space. This allows
